Hi, I’m Mike!
The most common name in the world. I’m starting this blog to keep in touch with friends, family, business colleagues, and strangers on the Internet as I move to New York City from Toronto, Canada.
I’m excited about everything NYC has to offer, and I’m ready to share some of the good, bad and ugly with anyone who cares to read about it.
I am starting a role as an actuarial consultant for a major firm headquartered in midtown Manhattan which will result in lots of travel, and lots of work. As a result, I’m going to be using this blog to journal about the fun (and boring) cities I visit, comment on the different hotel rooms and airports I see, and any other random observations I encounter across the USA.
In NYC I plan on cooking lots of plant-based foods, trying the ridiculous assortment of vegan restaurants, exploring different neighbourhoods, and designing a minimalist, tiny apartment for my living space.
Please get in touch with me at mikearnold6@gmail.com if you have any questions about the city, consulting, actuarial exams, or anything else that I may or may not be able to help with – I’m happy to listen!
Cheers,
Mike
